Abstract

Objectives: To evaluate treatment results of pars plana vitrectomy combined and scleral buckle for patients with rhegmatogenous detachment. Methods: A cross sectional study of 38 patients (38 eyes) with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment of Vietnam National Hospital of Ophthalmology from July 1st, 2021 to July 31st, 2022. Results: Mean follow up was  3 months.Single surgery anatomical success rate was 94.7%, overall success rate was 100%.At the time of last follow up, 63.2% of the eyes had visual acuity 20/200 or better, 21.1% had visual acuity 20/400 to 20/200, 15.8% has visual acuity <20/400. Conclusion: pars plana vitrectomy combined scleral buckle has with high rates of anatomical success and visual success in treatment rhegmatogenous retinal detachment.
