Abstract

Objectives investigation the patterns of the traditional medicine in female students with primary dysmenorrhea at universities in ho chi minh city. Materials and Methods: A cross – sectional study was conducted in two phase. Phase 1: In traditional medicine documents: Traditional medicine classics, text books taught at universities to search for the patterns of the traditional medicine and building a clinical survey questionnaire. Phase 2: interviews 384 female students 18 – 25 years old at universities with primary dysmenorrhea. Using Lantern 5.0 software to analyze data of LTMs to establish the patterns of the traditional medicine. Results: In traditional medicine documents recorded 8 traditional medicines of clinical patterns (Excessive cold, qi blood stagnation, qi blood deficiency, liver kidney deficiency, kidney qi deficiency, yin deficiency, heat in the blood, yang deficiency and cold coagulation). Clinical: were established 8 clinical types are similar to those in the literature. Conclusion: Investigation of 8 the traditional medicine of clinical patterns of primary dysmenorrhea.
