Abstract

Objective: To study the correlation between Traditional Medicine Body Constitutions and personality characteristics on students of the Faculty of Traditional Medicine at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City (TM-UMP). Methods: The study was conducted on 420 students of TM-UMP, from November 2021 to May 2022. Data collected from students include general characteristics, characteristics of Traditional Medicine Body Constitutions by CCMQ questionnaire, personality characteristics by EPI questionnaire. Results: Extraversion traits have a low level of positive correlation with the following types: Yin-deficiency, Phlegm dampness, Qi-stagnation, Inherited special. Neuroticism have a low degree of positive correlation with the following types: Qi deficiency, Yin deficiency, Phlegm dampness, Damp-heat, Blood stasis, inherited-special. A medium level of positive correlation with qi-stagnation. A medium level of negative correlation with Balanced. Conclusion: we found that neuroticism positively correlated with Unbalanced, while neuroticism negatively correlated with balanced. we found that extraversion positively correlated with some Traditional medicine body constitution
