Abstract

Tooth decay is a common disease in the world. Early tooth decay can be treated with simple fluoride therapy and the tooth can be fully restored. The study was conducted on 30 permanent teeth, 4th teeth and 5th teeth (first and second permanent premolars) of patients aged from 18 to 25 with the objective: to describe the process of mineralization of fluoride in fluoride varnish into the permenant teeth enamel. This is an experimental controlled intervention laboratory study to determine the evidence of fluoridation in enamel that describes morphology under electron microscopy. Result: The group treated with 5% Fluoride Varnish showed that the mean depth after remineralization was smaller than that of the Enamel Pro varnish group, the difference was statistically significant with p < 0.01 with 99% confidence.
