Abstract

The study was conducted with the goal of assessing the aesthetic restoration needs of the primary anterior teeth of children 5-8 years old and their parents at some public facilities in Hanoi in the year 2021 - 2022, through interviews. directly 690 subjects (including 230 children accompanied by their parents) came for medical examination and treatment. Data were collected by an extended questionnaire based on the questionnaire of Sharat Chandra Pani et al. The results showed that parents were concerned about the initial caries lesions earlier than children. As for the restoration of primary anterior teeth, parents and children alike consider zirconia to be the most aesthetic option. The rate of agreeing to have zirconia aesthetic is 91.3% for young mothers, 90.9% for young fathers, and 77.8% for children. In addition, there are still some factors that affect the need for aesthetic restoration of the primary anterior teeth of children.
