Abstract

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the results of shoulder rehabilitation after arthroscopic subacromial decompression. Subjects: A total of the 30 patients with subacromial impingement syndrome who underwent arthroscopic subacromial decompression at Viet Duc Hospital in 2022. Methods: prospective, evaluation before and after the intervention, without a control group. We evaluated patients at two time points: 3 days after surgery and 1 month after surgery. Results: The mean age was 58.31 ± 11.7 (years); with a female predominance (56.7%). Of the sample non-traumatic was the most common causes (67.7%). Most of patients (90%) supported minor pain level on VAS scale at 1 month after surgery. The majority of patients achieved good and very good results at the 1 month after surgery, the difference in scores on the University of California Los Angeles shoulder assessment scale at 1 month after surgery was statistically significant. Conclusion: Rehabilitation for patients immediately after arthroscopic subarcomial decompression helped patients achieve good or very good upper limbs function at one month post-operation.
