Abstract

A cross-sectional descriptive study to describe the current situation of using Ourhealth application in management and health care for employees of Viettel High-Tech Industry Corporation from August to November 2021. During the study period In the study, 111 participants had a total of 247 interactions on the application, mainly through calling and texting directly with doctors (237 times), only 10 times asking questions on the forum. The group of subjects with chronic diseases had a higher average number of interactions on the application than the healthy group and the group with risk factors. Before contacting the doctor, more than half of the time the subjects planned to self-medicate as outpatients, the rest planned to visit the emergency room and visit the clinic. After contacting the doctor, the number of planned outpatient and clinic visits increased, and the number of planned emergency visits decreased. This shows the importance of consulting a doctor in minimizing unnecessary emergency visits. The use of healthcare applications in consultation with a doctor can be the solution to reduce the burden on emergency departments in particular and hospitals in general.
