Abstract

Objectives: To describe the histopathology characteristics of upper tract urothelial carcinoma and determine the state of expression of CK7 and CK20 markers. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional, prospective, and retrospective study on 65 patients with diagnosed primary upper tract urothelial carcinoma according to WHO classification in 2016 from September 2018 to August 2022 at K Hospital. Results: we studied on 65 patients, in which male accounted for 66.2%, female accounted for 33.8%. The mean age was 64.31 ± 9.74. 80.2% of urothelial carcinoma are common, 10.8% with squamous differentiation, 61.5% invaded the muscle layer. The rate of CK7 and CK20 in urothelial carcinoma was 83.1% and 55.4%, respectively. There was no association between CK7 and CK20 co-expression with histology, stage, and muscle invasion of the tumor (p > 0.05).
