Abstract

Objective: To describe the current situation of medical staff, facilities of the collection and treatment system for infected and suspected sars-cov-2 patients at hospitals in Thai Binh province. Methods: The study was conducted on 12 hospitals (01 provincial general hospital and 11 district hospitals) in Thai Binh by descriptive method through a cross-sectional survey. Result: At the provincial general hospital, there are 98 internal medicine doctors, 25 resuscitators, 13 infectious diseases doctors and nurses involved in the treatment of COVID-19 patients. At the COVID-19 patient care facility, 50 beds are used in the infectious disease department, and 95 beds are used in the clinical departments for COVID-19 patients. Some essential consumables There are still insufficient resources such as specimen containers (2/10 boxes available on request), continuous dialysis units (4/26), 3-barrel central venous catheters (currently 1/32), filter for bacteria and viruses on ventilators (10/48). In 2020, the hospital bed capacity of City General hospital accounts for the highest proportion (113%), the lowest is Vu Thu General hospital with a capacity of 64.8%. By 2021, Thai Thuy General hospital has the highest bed capacity of 86%, the lowest is Nam Tien Hai General hospital with a capacity of 46%.
