Abstract

Objective: A symtematic review was conducted to verify whether screening could reduce lung cancer mortality in high-risk people and to determine the optimal screening program. Methods: Searching on PubMed and EMBASE, and relevant databases. Results: From 13 studies on lung cancer screening programs using low-dose CT scans were searched and selected through a systematic review of documents, in which criteria for selecting people at high risk, sample size, and number of screening visits were selected. Some of the key outcomes (lung cancer detection rates, early detection rates) and limitations of screening programs were combined.
