ĐẶC ĐIỂM BỆNH NHÂN ĐIỀU TRỊ NGHIỆN CÁC CHẤT DẠNG THUỐC PHIỆN BẰNG THUỐC BUPRENORPHINE VÀ METHADONE TẠI BA TỈNH MIỀN NÚI PHÍA BẮC NĂM 2019

Abstract

This article is designed to characterize patients participating in alternative drug therapy in three northern mountainous provinces of Vietnam in 2019, including Dien Bien, Son La and Lai Chau. Research information was obtained through direct patient interviews at drug dispensing facilities. The results showed that patients participating in treatment in 3 provinces were mainly men of working age. 70% of the subjects are ethnic minorities such as Thai, La Hu, and Mong, etc. 25.5% of patients have never attended school or are illiterate. The main occupation is farming (48.8%). Heroin and opium are the two most commonly used. Patients using heroin have an average age of 26.21 years old. Behaviors of substance use in the 3 months before treatment are mainly smoking and intravenous infusion. There are a total of 26 HIV-infected patients out of a total of 404 currently being treated.
