Abstract

Objectives: Evaluation of the treatment of low back pain caused by spinal degeneration with ultrasound combined with Du-hou-tang-ji-sheng pellet and determination of factors affecting the treatment outcomes. Stydy subjects and methods: A prospective study, comparing before and after treatment, controlled on 80 volunteer patients, aged >40, diagnosed with lowback pain cause by degenerative spine. Results: After 20 days of treatment, the research group: VAS score decreased from 6,09 ± 1,43 to 1,60 ± 0,94, lumbar spine dilation increased from 2.10 ± 0.66 cm to 3.63 ± 0.68 cm (p < 0.05), improved lumbar spine advocacy range from 3.45 ±0.5 to 1.53±0.30, Owestry score (daily living index) from 3.18 ± 0.71 to 1.32 ±0.38. The factors of age, gender, and type of disease according to traditional medicine in relation to treatment outcomes all differed between groups, but were not statistically significant. Conclusion: The ultrasound treatment combined with Du-hou-tang-ji-sheng pellet has a good effect in the treatment of low back pain caused by spinal degeneration and factors of age, gender, and disease according to traditional medicine does not affect the treatment results.
