SURVEY ON THE RESULTS OF TOTAL HIP ARTHROPLASTY IN PATIENTS UNDER 30 YEARS OLD

Abstract

Object: Evaluate the result of total hip arthroplasty (without cement) (THA) at Viet Duc Hospital in patients under 30 years old. Method: Descriptive cross-sectional study, retrospective and prospective without case-control research, conducted on 85 THA patients of VietDuc Hospital from 2015 to 2022. Result: 68,2% hip osteonecrosis, 29,4% secondary osteoarthritis; mean cut length 9,1 ± 0,5cm; mean operating time 74,88 ± 7,5 minutes; mean blood transfusion amount 381,5ml. There is no long-term complication, 2,4% early complication (superficial infection). Pos-operative XR: 83,5% median stem, 88,2% steam pressed-fit more than 80%, cup inclination at 40-45 degree proportioned 89,4%. VAS score: pre-operation 7,9 ± 1,5, post-operation 3,8 ± 1,5; HHS score: pre-operation 42,6 ± 11,1, post-operation 81,4± 1,2; these changes are of statistical significance. Conclusion: THA is an effective and safe treatment method for patients under 30.
