Abstract

Background: Compliance with respiratory hygiene and cough hygiene rules is one of the main measures in standard prevention practices in medical examination and treatment facilities to minimize hospital infections. Objectives: Describe the knowledge on implementation of respiratory hygiene rules of medical staff at the National Eye Hospital and analyze some related factors. Methods: Cross-sectional survey, quantitative research. Results: This study collected information from 323 health workers (NVYT), National Eye Hospital through questionnaires. The research results show that, rate of health workers with knowledge on implementation of respiratory hygiene rules reached 72,4%. There are 4 factors related to knowledge on implementation of respiratory hygiene rules including: age, working position, working time and professional qualifications (p<0.05).
