Abstract

Objective: Determine the rate of hesitation against the next dose of COVID-19 vaccine (reluctance or refusal to vaccinate even though it is available) and the reasons for the hesitation to vaccinate, then propose some solutions to improve the rate booster shots to prevent COVID-19. Methods: cross-sectional description on 579 people living in Binh Luc district, Ha Nam province in 2022. Results: 33.8% of people hesitate to get the next dose of COVID-19 vaccine; The main reasons for hesitating about the next dose of the COVID-19 vaccine are concerns about the side effects of the vaccine (45.6%) and the current state of health that is not good (18.6%). Conclusions: People are hesitating to get the next doses COVID-19 vaccines at a high rate, in which most of the reasons come from their concerns about the safety of COVID-19 vaccines and because they themselves feel that their current health is not good enough to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
