Abstract

Objectives: The objective was to investigate the characteristics of pathogenic bacteria in patients with septic shock. Subjects and methods: Retrospective study of 100 septic shock patients with positive blood culture results from January 2020 to December 2020. Conclusion: The rate of Gram-negative bacteria is 66%, Gram-positive is 34%. Source of infection: respiratory 52%, abdominal cavity 23%, urinary 10%, skin soft tissue 5%. The percentage of positive cultures for E. coli (32%), S. aureus (26%), K. pneumonia (11%), A. baumanii 10%. Age ≥ 65, common due to E. coli and E. cloacae.
