CLINICAL FEATURES IN COVID-19 PATIENTS AT BINH TAN DISTRICT- HO CHI MINH CITY

Abstract
During August 2021, the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in Ho Chi Minh City, causing serious clinical condition. Due to the city in the period of social isolation, clinical examination was extremely difficult. A health consultation switchboard had been set up to help assess and classify remotely patients. Research methods: Patients with confirmed Covid-19 infection at Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City were asked by doctors from Hanoi and consulted via switchboard. Results: There were 36279 patients accessing information from the switchboard, the most in Tan Tao A, An Lac and Tan Tao wards. Symptoms peak in the period from August 10th to August 27th, 2021 with flu-like symptoms. Fever was the most common with 52.4%; followed by fatigue, muscle pain 33.8% and cough 11.7%. Other less common symptoms included difficulty breathing, loss of smell/taste, and vomiting/diarrhea. Conclusion: Symptoms of Covid-19 infection are similarity to those of respiratory viral infections in general. Epidemiological factors and spicific tests are necessary to confirm the diagnosis.
