EVALUATION OF PATIENT SATISFACTION USING CERAMAGE FUSED TO METAL CROWNS ON MOLARS

Abstract
The study was carried out on 40 patients who came for dental examination and treatment at the Department of Odonto-Stomatology of Hanoi Medical University Hospital and the A7 High-Tech Center for Odonto-Stomatology, School of Dentistry, Hanoi Medical University from September 2015 to September 2016. Objective: To evaluate the satisfaction of patients using Ceramage fused to metal crowns on molars. Methods: Interventional, prospective, randomized clinical trial study, monitoring and evaluation of clinical efficacy. Results: As soon as the placement of dental crowns, 80% of the patients were very satisfied, 20% of the patients were satisfied with the aspects of eating, chewing, and aesthetics of crowns. At the time of 1 month, 3 months after crown placement, the percentage of patients who were very satisfied with the dental crown was 77.5%. At the time of 6 months 77.5% of the patients were very satisfied; 22.5% of the patients were satisfied after placement. Conclusion: Right after the time of placement of Ceramage fused to metal crowns, 80% of the patients were very satisfied, 20% of the patients were satisfied with the chewing and aesthetic aspects of crowns. After 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months, the percentage of patients who were very satisfied with the dental crown was 77.5%. Clinicians should carefully advise patients on how to chew food, how to maintain dental crowns as well as how to clean their teeth after placement.
