KRUKENBERG TUMOR AN INCIDENTAL IN THE 11TH WEEK OF PREGNANCY AT TAM ANH GENERAL HOSPITAL: CASE REPORT

Abstract

Krukenberg tumor in the 11th week of pregnancy: 36-year-old woman, PARA 0000, married for 10 years, with rare children, this pregnancy after in vitro fertilization. The patient was admitted to the hospital in the case of continuous dull abdominal pain and increasing abdominal distention, ultrasound suspected of having a solid tumor on the right ovary measuring 62x112x85 mm, suspecting torsion. The patient is indicated for emergency surgery, untwisted and cut off the right appendage, sent for histopathological examination as the appendix must contain the tumor. After 2 weeks, histopathological results showed an infiltrating ring cell carcinoma in the right ovary, suspected of metastatic ovarian cancer (Krukenberg tumor) originating from the gastrointestinal tract such as the stomach, colon, appendix, biliary tract... After being diagnosed and consulted with: obstetrics and gynecology - gastrointestinal surgery - oncology and counseling, the patient and family want to maintain the pregnancy, continue to follow Pregnancy monitoring and chemotherapy. The patient was treated according to the chemotherapy regimen. We continue to monitor the pregnancy, the issue of gastric cancer surgery will be raised soon after birth.
