Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the results of laparoscopic distal gastrectomy with D2 dissection for gastric adenocarcinoma at  Ha Noi medical university hospital and Thanh Nhan hospital from 2018 to 2021. Subjects and methods: Retrospective study of 109 gastric adenocarcinoma patients who underwent laparoscopic distal partial dissection with D2 at Ha Noi medical university hospital and Thanh Nhan hospital from January 2018 to December 2021. Results: The average surgical time was 205±38,5 minutes (120-360). The average number of lymph nodes removed was 16,4 ± 5,5. Stage I 16,5%, Stage II 45,7%, Stage III 37,7%. Intraoperative complications 3,7%, conversion to open surgery was 2,8%. There was 1 patient with postoperative anastomosis who had to be operated on after 2 weeks, 1 patient with early bowel obstruction after surgery, 1 patient with pneumonia, 1 patient with wound infection, there was no postoperative death. The average postoperative hospital stay was 12 ± 4,4 days.  The mean overall survival time (OS) was 45,7 ± 1,8 months, OS at 12 months (87,9%), 24 months (81,7%), 36 months (81,7%), 48 months (79,3%). There is a relationship between survival time and disease stage. Conclusion: Laparoscopic distal gactrectomy with D2 dissection treatment of gastric adenocarcinoma at Ha Noi medical university hospital and Thanh Nhan hospital good results, improving the quality of cancer treatment in Hanoi.
