ASSESSMENT OF SURGERY RESULTS PHACO INSTALLED ARTIFICIAL GLASS CARDS FOR THE POOR IN SOME LANG SON PROVINCE DISTRICT HOSPITAL

Abstract

During the period from December 2019 to December 2021, we performed Phaco surgery for 188 patients at 3 hospitals of Trang Dinh, Van Lang, and Loc Binh districts, Lang Son province with the aim of evaluate the results of improving vision, evaluate the complications of surgery and measures to handle complications. The results showed that the majority of patients after Phaco surgery with artificial lenses had increased visual acuity. 1 day after surgery, 77.1% of patients had visual acuity > 3/10; 1 month after surgery is 91.5%. Possible complications during surgery are intermittent anterior capsular tear 6.4%, posterior capsular rupture of vitreous drainage 2.6%, postoperative corneal edema, keratitis 4.2%. These cases are well handled and give positive results.
