Abstract

Objective: To assess the status of malnutrition of children at two preschools of Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province in 2021. To analyze of some factors related to malnutrition of children at two schools. Research subjects and methods: The study was conducted by descriptive method with a cross-sectional design on 506 children from two preschools, Thang town and Duc Thang, in Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province. Research results: The general rate of malnutrition among children at the two preschools was quite high, accounting for 16.4%, the rate of malnutrition among boys was higher than that of girls (p < 0.05). In which, the stunting accounted for the highest rate (8.1%), followed by underweight (6.1%), the waisting accounted for the lowest rate (3.6%). There was a statistically significant relationship between the education level, knowledge and practice of the child nurturer in the prevention of malnutrition (p <0.05).
