THE RESULTS OF SURGICAL TREATMENT FOR HAND WOUND HAVE EXTENSOR TENDON RUPTURE AT THAI NGUYEN NATIONAL HOSPITAL

Abstract

Objectives: To evaluate the sugical for hand wound have extensor tendon rupture in adult at Thai Nguyen national hospital. Material and method: From January 2022 to December 2022, there were 73 patients with hand wound have extensor tendon injuries, to be examinated and 24 hours prior to sugery at the Department of Traumatology – Orthopedic. The first suture with Kessler and modified Kessler, enhanced by Cross-stitch. The extensor tendon brace after sugery to 3 weeks and physiotherapy practice. Evaluate results after sugery 10 weeks. Results: There were 73 patients with 100 digits were tendon rupture, with an average age was 45,6 (from 19 to 73), the average follow-up time was 24 weeks. Excellence, has 71/100 cases, accounting for 71%; Good, has 20/100 cases, accounting for 20%; Fair, has 06/100 cases, accounting for 6%; Bad, has 03/100 cases, accounting for 3%. Conclusion: Early sugery of extensor tendon rupture with Kessler and modified Kessler provides good results for patients who had hand wound have extensor tendon injuries, helps patients recover early the hand  function.
