ASSESSMENT THE RESULTS TREATMENT FEMORAL NECK FRACTURE FOR PATIENTS OVER 80 YEARS OLD BY NON CEMENT HEMIARTHROPLASTY

Abstract

Objective: evaluate the results non cement hemiarthroplasty treatment femoral neck fracture for patients over 80 years old. Subject and method: hemiarthroplasty were perfomed in 55 patients. Results: average age 86,5 (from 80-102), male/female fraction is 0,06/1 (3 male, 52 female). Right hip 43,6%, left hip 56,4%. The results were evaluate according to Harris hip score: good and excelent 90,9%, moderate 5,5%, bad 3,6%. There were no complications like pulmonary embolism, DVT, pneumonia and decubitus ulcer. Conclusion: non cement hemiarthroplasty showed good results for patients over 80 years old femoral neck fracture.
