Abstract

Research objectives: Word Lists Test to measure children's listening ability in accordance with the child's vocabulary and balance in terms of phonetics and audiology. The objective of this study is to develop the monosyllabic word lists and disyllabic word lists for children from 6 to 15 years old. Research method: Cross sectional study. Results: A corpus of 176153 words for children aged 6-15 years, most frequent 1000 monosyllabic words and 600 disyllabic words were filtered from this corpus; on the basis of phonemes pitch, consonant, vowel balances 250 monosyllabic words were selected to establish word lists with 10 lists, each list of 25 words; 100 disyllabic words were selected to establish word lists with 10 lists, each list of 10 words. Conclusion: the monosyllabic and disyllabic word lists are balanced in term of phonetics and ready to test for auditory reliability and balances.
