CLINICAL REPORT OF BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY FOR MASSIVE GIGANTOMASTIA USING THREE - PRONGED TECHNIQUE WITH COMPLEX AREOLAR PEDICLE
Main Article Content
Abstract
Breast hypertrophy is a pathological condition of the breast gland, affecting the function and lifestyle of the patient, as well as negatively impacting their psychological well-being and self-confidence regarding their appearance. Gigantomastia is the most severe form of breast hypertrophy and requires surgical intervention. We report a case of a patient with massive gigantomastia, with a volume of approximately 1800cc on each breast. The patient underwent breast reduction surgery using a three - pronged technique with complex areolar pedicle. The surgical procedure was safe, with high aesthetic results, good survival of the nipple-areolar complex, and immediate postoperative sensory recovery. The patient was discharged after 4 days, and no complications were reported during follow-up.
