Abstract
The objective: To evaluate some side effects of Neostigmine and Atropine for the treatment of headache after spinal or epidural anaesthesia in obstetrics. Sixty women having headache after spinal or epidural anesthesia, eligible for research, were randomly selected to receive treatment with Neostigmine 20mcg/kg + Atropine 10mcg/kg or Paracetamol 1g. The results showed that abdominal cramps, muscle twitches occurred only in the group of Neostigmine+Atropine with the rate of 33.3% (p<0.05), 13.3% (p>0.05) respectively, these side effects occurred transient and cured themselves. The heart rate of the patients in our 2 study groups at all times were within the normal range, no patients had arrhythmias.
