THE CURRENT STATE OF KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE, PRACTICE ON COVID-19 PREVENTION AMONG THIRD YEARS GENERAL MEDICAL STUDENTS, THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY

Abstract
Objective: To describe the current state of knowledge, attitudes and practice on Covid - 19 prevention among third years general medical students at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy 2022. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 533 third years general medical students. Results: The main source of information is the Ministry of Health. Most of the students had correct knowledge about the virus strain (93.5%), the mode of transmission (87.2%), the incubation period (75.6%), the main symptoms of the disease (95.7%) and screening tests (86.7%). Most students have a positive attitude about COVID-19 prevention. In terms of practice, most students practice good epidemic prevention measures. Majority of the study’s participants had correct knowledge about pathogens (93,5%), transmission route (87,2%), incubation period (75,6%), main symptom (95,7%) and screening test (86,7%). Regarding students' attitudes, most students had a positive attitude about preventive COVID-19. In addition, students also practice good disease prevention measures. Conclusion: Most students have good knowledge, attitudes and practices on Covid-19 prevention.
