Abstract

Ojective: to evaluate the kinetics of interleukin-10 serum after surgery proximal femur fracture in elderly patients. Meterial and methods: 60 patients were age > 60 years old operated for fracture of proximal femur and 30 people control group between april 2020 and april 2022 in the department joint surgery – centre trauma and orthropaedic – Military hospital 103. Results: age mean of patient group was 76.97 + 9.17 (60-91 years), age mean of control group was 73.6±5.81 (60-83 years). Male/female of patient group was 1/1.73, this rate of control group was 1/2. 22 cases (36.67%) were fracture of femoral neck, 38 cases (63.33%) were fracture of intertrochanteric. 45 cases were operated hemiarthroplasty, 15 cases were operated osteosynthesis by locking plate. The median preoperative IL-10 level in patient group was 2.49pg/ml, which was higher than the control group of 1.84pg/ml (p<0.001). The level of IL-10 increased rapidly after surgery, peaked at 1 day after surgery was 3.4pg/ml, then decline to plateau and the same preoperatve on 7 days postoperative was 2.34pg/ml (p=0.007).
