Abstract

Renal arteriovenous fistula (RAVF) is a rare vascular disorder with a prevalence <0.04% in the population. RAVF can be either acquired or congenital. We report two cases of 73-year-old and 43-year-old female patients with high-flow RAVF discovered incidentally by ultrasound. These patients were subsequently treated with endovascular embolization with good results. Endovascular intervention is a safe, effective, minimally invasive method in the treatment of RAVF.
