CLINICAL FEATURES OF THE PATIENTS WITH INSOMNIA IN TRUC DAO COMMUNE, TRUC NINH DISTRICT, NAM DINH PROVINCE

Abstract
Insomnia is the most common sleep disorder in the community. Insomnia not only has great consequences for the patients themselves, but also causes a great social burden in terms of treatment costs. A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 71 insomnia patients in Truc Dao commune, Truc Ninh district, Nam Dinh province from January 2023 to March 2023. The objective of the study was to describe the clinical characteristics of insomnia patients in the community, especially in rural areas, where there is little exposure to high-quality medical care services. The results show that the majority of insomniacs in rural areas are the elderly, the most common type of insomnia is waking up early in the morning (91.5%), fatigue is a common symptom in the elderly in daytime symptoms of insomnia patients (81.6%), sleep efficiency is 54.3 ± 16.4%.
