COMPARISON OF EFFICACY OF DUAL OOCYTE MATURATION REGIMEN AND OOCYTE MATURATION BY HCG ALONE ON NORMAL OVARIAN RESPONSE GROUP IN IN VITRO FERTILIZATION CYCLES USING ANTAGONIST PROTOCOL

Abstract
Objectives: To compare the effect of oocyte maturation by HCG and Dual trigger in cycles of in vitro fertilization on ovarian follicles and blastocyst formation rate. Subjects and methods: Retrospective descriptive study on 104 cycles of in vitro fertilization at Military Institute of Clinical Embryology and Histology, Vietnam Military Medical University, using antagonist protocol including two groups of dual trigger and hCG trigger. Comparison of the criteria of age, BMI, AMH, endocrine tests, endometrial thickness on trigger day, MII rate, number of cleavage embryos and number of blastocyst in two groups. Results: Number of mature oocytes (6.98 ± 3.71 vs 4.76 ± 3.7, p=0.04), number of 2PN (6.03 ± 3.03 vs 4.98 ± 2.85, p=0.045), number of cleavage (4.58 ± 2.81 vs 3.78 ± 2.11, p=0.045the number of blastocyst (3.81 ± 2.49 vs 2.37 ± 1.72, p=0.0009) and the number of good blastocyst (3.43 ± 1.95 vs 2.18 ± 1.69, p=0.0007) were statistically significantly higher in dual trigger group. Conclusion: Using dual trigger protocol with normal responser showed an increase in the number of mature oocytes, number of 2PN, number of clavage, number of blastocyst, number of good blastocyst compared with hCG trigger group.
