Abstract

Insomnia is the most common sleep disorder in the general population. Insomnia not only has great consequences for the patients themselves, but also causes a great social burden in terms of treatment costs. A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 50 insomnia patients in Truc Dao commune, Truc Ninh district, Nam Dinh province from February 2023 to March 2023. The objective of the study was to assess the quality of life by SF36 score in people with insomnia in the community, especially in rural areas, where there is little exposure to high-quality medical care services. Results: the majority of insomniacs in rural areas are elderly people, often seen in women, there is a negative correlation between the level of insomnia on the PSQI scale and the quality of life score on the PSQI scale. SF-36 (the more severe the patient's insomnia, the greater the decline in quality of life).
