ĐẶC ĐIỂM DỊCH TỄ BỆNH HUYẾT SẮC TỐ HBE Ở BỆNH NHÂN ĐẾN KHÁM TẠI BỆNH VIỆN NHI TRUNG ƯƠNG GIAI ĐOẠN 2020 -2022

Abstract

Background: Hemoglobin E (HbE) is an inheritted disorder with structural hemoglobin variant that occurs at high frequencies throughout many Asian countries inlucding Vietnam. It can be a severe disorder if coinheritance with α-thalassaemia or β-thalassaemia. Objective: To demonstrate the epidermilogical charaterristics of patients with HbE in National Children’s Hospital from January 2020 to June 2022. Subjects and Methods: A cross-sectional study on 3054 patients with hemoglobin disorders defined by hemoglobin ectrophoresis test. Results: There are 195 patients with HbE having a percentage of 6.39%. Almost patients with HbE were first diagnosed before 5 year-old (77.95%) and located in Northern Delta Area (52.82%). In this study, frequency of male patients (63.08%) is higher than that of female patients (36.92%).
