Abstract

Objective of the study: Evaluation of quality of life of patients after after upstream endoscopic ureteral litholysis with double-J stent. Subjects and research methods: A cross-sectional descriptive studies were performed on 102 patients after retrograde endoscopic ureteral lithotripsy with double-J stent. The USSQ (Ureteral Stent Symptom Questionnaire) questionnaire was used to assess the patient's quality of life at 4 weeks after a double-J stent. Results: The quality of life  score for urinary symptoms 28.62 ± 5.87(total 54 points), average physical pain score 18.36 ± 3.44 (total 27 points),  work performance 7,18 ± 2,18 (total 15 points), sexual problems 3.94 ± 0.93 (total 10 points), overall quality of life 5.09 ± 0.81 (total 7 points). Conclusions: Double-J stent after retrograde endoscopic ureterolysis is the cause of many undesirable effects, which negatively affect the general condition and quality of life of the patient.
