THỰC HÀNH PHÒNG LÂY NHIỄM COVID-19 CỦA NGƯỜI BỆNH ĐANG ĐIỀU TRỊ TẠI BỆNH VIỆN HỮU NGHỊ NĂM 2022

Abstract

Objective: To describe the prevention of covid-19 infection of patients being treatment at General Internal Medicine A ward and Respiratory - Allergy ward in Huu Nghi Hospital from March to April in 2022. Methods: cross-sectional descriptive study with a convenient sampling method, sample size was 130 patients. Results: Patients practice good methods to protect themselves and their families against the Covid-19 epidemic, 100% of patients implemented the following measures: Wash hands frequently with soap or hand sanitizer; cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing; comply with the State's recommendations to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic and fully implement the 5K of the Ministry of Health. Patients also practice relatively well other measures including, avoid close contact with people with fever and cough (97.7%); avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth (92.3%); cook food before eating (88.5%); avoid direct contact with live animals and surfaces in contact with animals without protective measures (85.4%); keep a minimum distance of 1 meter from others in common spaces and public areas (97.7%); house cleaning, cleaning surfaces and floors with common cleaning agents at least once a day (95.4%); limit gatherings in crowded places since the pandemic occurred (96.9%) and install and turn on tracing applications, medical declaration applications if using smart mobile devices (63.8%). Conclusion: The study shows that most patients practice good measures to prevent Covid-19 infection with themselves and their families, over 63%. However, there are still some low rate measures. Recommendations: Health workers should strengthen the exchange,  provide information and practice guidance on measures to prevent Covid-19 infection for patients.
