STUDY OF IMAGING CHARACTERISTICS OF HEPATOCELLULAR CARCINOMA (HCC) ON CT SCAN AND SOME RELATED FACTORS

Abstract
Objective: To describe the Imaging characteristics of Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) on CT scan and some related factors. Methods: Cross-sectional description. Results: on CT scan, there is a single mass accounting for 80%. Tumor in the right liver (82.9%). Tumor size > 50mm accounted for 68.6%. Hypodensity before contrast injection was 88.57%. The tumor was ehanced in the arterial phase accounted for 91.4%. Wash-out contrast in venous phase accounted for 88.57%. In delay phase, the tumor wash - out accounted for a high rate of 91.4%. Portal vein thrombosis (8.6%). Patients with AFP level ≤ 20ng/ml was 28.6%. AFP level from 20-400 ng/ml accounted for 31.4%. AFP level >400ng/ml accounted for 40%. The average values of GOT and GPT were 123.1±103.5U/L and 79.5±72.8U/L, respectively; The median values of GOT and GPT were 102U/L and 51.1 U/L, respectively. The proportion of patients with hepatitis B virus was 51.4%, with hepatitis C virus accounted for 5.7%, patients with only cirrhosis accounted for 14.3% and 10 patients with cirrhosis and HBV accounted for 28.6%.
