Abstract

Objectives: Cross-sectional study was conducted to evaluate factors associated with nutritional adherence. Subjects:  we recruited 460 patients with type 2 diabetes treated with Metformin at 108 Military Central Hospital from August 2022 to November 2022. Results: patients with tertiary education are more compliant to diatiary nutrition (OR=1.7; 95%CI: 1.1-2.6), who satisfied with the attitude of medical staff (OR=2.8; 95%CI: 1.7-4.5), who regularly received reminders of nutritional compliance (OR= 3.5; 95%CI:1.9-2.6), waiting time for medical examination in normal and/or fast manner (OR=1.7; 95%CI: 1.1-2.7), patients were satisfied/very satisfied with the information guiding adherence to treatment (OR=2.5; 95%CI:1.6-4,1) and who were without diabetes complications (OR=4.0; 95%CI: 1.9-8.3). Conclusion: The study results are suggested for appropriate nutritional  interventions for patients with type 2 diabetes treated with Metformin outpatiently.
