EXPLORING SOME RISK FACTORS FOR CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE IN WOMEN AT BACH MAI HOSPITAL AND THAI BINH PROVINCIAL GENERAL HOSPITAL

Abstract
Objectives: To describe some risk factors for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in women. Subjects and methods: a cross-sectional descriptive study with a sample size of 57 female and 96 male patients at Bach Mai Hospital and Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital from 9/2022-3/2023. Results: Risk factors for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in women included age (≤59 years), comorbidities (bronchial asthma, hypertension, coronary artery disease, bronchiectasis), history themselves have respiratory diseases (bronchiectasis, asthma), smoke, exposure to dust from cooking materials. Conclusion: Health education counseling and periodic health examination for subjects with a history of exposure to risk factors for early detection and treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
