CURRENT SITUATION OF FEET INJURY PREVENTION OF DIABETES PATIENTS AT CENTRAL HOSPITAL OF ENDOCRINOLOGY IN 2022

Abstract
Objective: To describe the current status of feet injury prevention of diabetes patients at central hospital of endocrinology in 2022. Method: An cross-sectional descriptive study was performed among 141 patients with type 2 diabetes were treated as inpatients at central Hospital of endocrinology from May 2022 to July 2022. Results: Most patients had incorrect knowledge about preventive care for foot injuries: 46% know the risk factors leading to foot ulcers and only 6% know how to detect foot injuries early by foot examination. The percentage of patients practicing correct foot injury prevention was still low with 6,4% of patients applying foot moisturizer regularly and 26,2% performing daily foot check. Conclusion: Preventive care for feet injuries of diabetic patients inpatient treatment at central Hospital of Endocrinology is still limited.
