THE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE OF PHYSICIANS WORKING AT COMMUNAL HEALTH STATIONS IN SOME NORTHERN PROVINCES

Abstract

Background: Reproductive health care is a set of techniques and services that contribute to health and well-being by preventing consequences and addressing reproductive health problems. Objectives: Describe the knowledge about reproductive health care of physicians working at communal health stations in some northern provinces. Methods: Cross-sectional survey, quantitative research. Results: The study collected information from 195 physicians working at communal health stations in 4 provinces: Ninh Binh, Thai Binh, Dien Bien and Yen Bai through questionnaire. The study results showed that, ehe knowledge about reproductive health care of physicians was relatively good, the rate of physicians who had correct answers ≥ 50% of the questions was over 65%. The group of physicians who under 40 years old had the ability to correctly answer ≥ 50% of questions about reproductive health care was higher than the others (OR = 8,89; 95% CI = 1,82 – 43, 51).
