RESEARCH FOR 3D PRINTING OF NAVIGATION STENTS FOR DENTAL IMPLANT SURGICAL GUIDES

Abstract
Objective: To eValuate the accuracy of naVigation stent for dental Implant surgical guides. Method and Subject: The cross-sectional study was conducted on 46 implants in the posterior mandible. The naVigation stent and dental Implant surgical guides were designed by SolidWorks and 3Shape
based on Dicom data from CT scanner Ingenuity Flex Phillips. We compared the implantation results before and after surgeries in terms of: the deViation of implant position, the angle between two implants, and Vertical deViation. Results: Our study included 41 patients (46 implants) who were in the aVerage age of
36.12 ± 7.25. The results of our study showed that the mean neck deViation was 1.24 ± 0.63; the angle between two implants was 3.75o ± 2.68o; the mean apical deViation was 1.59 ± 1.12mm, and mean Vertical deViation was 0.82 ± 0.82mm. Conclusion: 3D printed naVigation stent for dental implant surgical guides proVided high accuracy and reliability, thus it can support the dental Implant surgical guides for implantations.
