NUTRITIONAL PRACTICE AMONG TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS PATIENTS AT HUE UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY HOSPITAL AND HUE TRANSPORTATION HOSPITAL IN 2021

Abstract
Background: Nutritional practice play an important role in helping diabetic patients manage their disease and preVent dangerous complications. Objects: (1) Describe diabetes nutritional practice among type 2 diabetes patients treated at Hue UniVersity of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital and Hue Transportation Hospital in 2021; (2) Find out some factors related to diabetes nutritional practice among research subjects. Materials and Method: Cross- sectional study on 293 with type 2 diabetes who met the selection criteria for treatment at Hue UniVersity of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital and Hue Transport Hospital from December 2020 to December 2021. The study was collected in the form of direct interViews based on aVailable questionnaires. Results: The proportion of patients with good practice about diabetes accounted for 17,4%. Related factors to diabetes nutritional practices include good nutritional status (OR = 4,99; 95% CI: 2,11 – 11,84) and good attitude on diabetes nutritional caring (OR = 4,93;
95% CI: 2,01 – 12,08) with p < 0,05. Conclusion: There should be solutions to improVe nutritional practice among type 2 diabetic patients.
