ASTHMA CONTROL IN CHILDREN FROM 6 TO 15 YEARS ORLD AT THE HANOI MEDICAL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

Abstract

A prospectiVe study was conducted to eValuate asthma control in children from 6 to 15 years old at the Ha Noi Medical UniVersity Hospital. 32 children with asthma were recruited for study between 6/2022


 


                                                                                                                                                                                      


                                                                                                                                                                                      


 


to 5/2023. Results: The male to female ratio was 3.57/1 with 65.6% children came from Ha Noi. After 1 month of treatment, daytime symptoms, awakening at night and limitations of actiVity decreased remarkably (p<0,05). According to GINA the uncontrolled asthma rate decreased from 43.8% to 3,1% after 1 month and 6,3% after 3 months of preVention; respectiVely (p<0,05). According to ACT (Asthma control test) 62.5% children with asthma were uncontrolled before treatment. After 1 month and 3 months of treatment, the rate of uncontrolled asthma decreased to 15,6% and 6,3%, respectiVely. Conclusion: Asthma control in children improVed after 1 month and 3 months of preVention.
