KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDES, AND ADHERENCE TO HPV VACCINATION AMONG NURSING AND MEDICAL STUDENTS AT DAI NAM UNIVERSITY

Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the knowledge, attitudes, and adherence to HPV Vaccination among medical and nursing students, along with related factors. Participants and methods: A descriptiVe cross-sectional study was conducted at Dai Nam UniVersity with the participation of 200 students, including medical and nursing students. Results: The percentage of students with accurate knowledge about the HPV Virus was 68.5%, while only 58% had accurate knowledge about UTCTC disease. 81.5% of students had accurate knowledge about HPV Vaccination, but only 63% had receiVed the Vaccine. The positiVe attitude towards adhering to HPV Vaccination was low, with only 53% of students expressing a positiVe attitude. Conclusion: The study found that correct knowledge and positiVe attitude towards HPV Vaccination among students were low. It is necessary to deVelop health education programs, particularly those that focus on proViding knowledge about the HPV Virus and Vaccine, in order to improVe students' reproductiVe health knowledge.
