Abstract

Objective: Describes clinical and laboratory characteristics of preterm premature rupture of membranes at 22–34 weeks’ gestation in Ha Noi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in 2022. Materials and method: This is a cross-sectional study, was performed through 278 women with preterm premature rupture of membranes at 22–34 weeks’ gestation in Ha Noi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in 2022. Results: Preterm rupture of membranes at gestational age between 22–34 weeks accounted for 21.23% of the total number of cases of premature delivery. The average age of the study population was 30.26 ± 5.9 years, representing the majority of the childbearing age group. Spontaneous conception accounted for a large part of PPROM pregnancies, 89.9%. The rate of pregnant women with a previous C-section was 33.7%, an abortion/miscarriage was 17.8%, history of PPROM was 11.6% and preterm birth in a previous pregnancy was 10.9%. History of vaginitis was 12,8%. Anemia is a common disease during pregnancy with 47.7%, then gestational diabetes mellitus and threatened preterm labor with 19.8%. The mean gestational age at occurrence of PROM was 30.3 ± 3.2 weeks, more 60% admission in 6 hours  after rupture of amniotic membrane. The percentage of oligohydramnios was 24.8%. Basic tests did not show abnormal results. Conclusion: Preterm premature rupture membrane (PPROM) at the gestational age of 28–34 weeks among rupture of amniotic membrane was 21.23%.
