Abstract

Background: Treatment of tuberculosis is a long-term process, the effect of tuberculosis drugs during treatment also affects the daily meals of patients such as loss of appetite, nausea, increased liver enzymes. Guaranteed nutrition not only helps prevent tuberculosis, but also ensures the limitation of complications during treatment. Objectives: Assessment of the nutritional status of pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the Department of Respiratory Tuberculosis of the National Lung Hospital in 2019. Methods: Cross-sectional survey, quantitative research. Results: The study used 4 different methods of assessing nutritional status: BMI, SGA, albumin index, protein index. The results showed that most patients were mildly malnourished. 22.9% of patients had knowledge of nutrition, 77.1% of patients had not knowledge of nutrition.
