Abstract

Objectives: Describe the current state of health worker stress and some factors affecting the stress of health workers at Phu Giao District Health Center in 2023. Research method: Cross-sectional design interview for 110 clinical staff, using the DASS 21 scale to assess stress level. Using the squared test to find out the relationship between factors and stress of health workers. Results: The results showed that the stress rate of health workers was 20.1%, of which the mild level was 12.7%, the moderate level was 6.4%, the severe level was 0.9% and the very severe was 0 ,9%. The health worker group had a 0.37 times higher risk of stress when they never encountered a bad attitude from the patient or the patient's family. The group of health workers with no/little learning opportunities had a higher risk of stress (OR=6.65; 95% CI: 2.4-18.8). The group of health workers with no and few opportunities for advancement in work has a high risk of stress (OR=5.91; 95% CI: 1.8-199); The group of health workers on duty from 8 shifts/month or more has a high risk of stress (OR=4.49; 95% CI: 1.7-11.9). The group of health workers with high work pressure has a high risk of stress (OR=3.36; 95% CI: 1.1-9.9); Conclusion: The health center leadership needs to have appropriate interventions such as arranging human resources, organizing mental health checks for health workers.
