Abstract

Background: Nursing activities play a crucial role in the process of patient care. Objectives: To determine the compliance rate of nursing care by nurses according to Circular No. 31/2021/TT-BYT and the knowledge of implementing certain technical procedures at Ca Mau Military and People Hospital in 2022-2023. Materials and methods: Combined data collection forms and pre-designed checklists were used for all nurses providing care at Ca Mau Military and People Hospital, with a total of 121 nurses, to evaluate the quality of their care documentation process before and after the intervention. Results: The evaluation included 121 nurses, consisting of 35 males and 86 females working in various departments. The majority of nurses had a college or university degree (81.0%), while 19.0% had a intermediate level qualification. After training, the knowledge and skills of nurses in care documentation significantly improved, particularly in the practical aspects of nursing care. The care documentation process for nurses with a higher education level (college or university) was better than that for nurses with a intermediate level qualification. The research findings clearly reflect the important role of training, supervision, evaluate, and enforcement measures in positively influencing care documentation. Conclusion: After the training, the proportion of nurses with correct awareness and practice according to regulations significantly increased compared to before the training, and the proportion of nurses with high levels of practice was notably evident in all aspects of the care plan compared to before the training.
