Abstract

Purpose: Assesement of accuracy of vision srceening performed by teachers and school nurses staffs in primary school and secondary school students in 3 provinces (2017). Materials and Method: cross-sectional survey community-based, 1056 students, screening by school staff and checked by eye doctors. Results: The accuracy of  the  visual  acuity screening performed by teachers and school nurses in the project’s target area is demonstrated by a sensitivity of 60.92% and a specificity of 93.76%. This result is lower than that of some previous studies conducted in Viet Nam and in other Asian countries. Conclusion: The capacity of school staff in conducting vision screening among students should be strengthened.he capacity of school nurses and teachers in identifying low vision and conducting K
